Private 4G/5G for Mission-Critical Public Safety

Secure Communications for Emergency Response & Public Safety

Security, Sovereignty and Survivability at the Core

Empowering mission critical public safety with secure, resilient private 4G & 5G core networks

Raemis™ is Druid’s 3GPP-compliant cellular core network platform powering mission-critical 4G LTE & 5G private networks. Whether powering an S-MVNO network or operating in a tactical backpack core on a search-and-rescue mission, Raemis™ provides seamless cross-agency connectivity.

Dedicated Private Networks

Raemis™ can be deployed as complete 4G/5G private cores on-premise or at local edge sites for total data sovereignty and isolated operational control.

S-MVNO & Roaming

The Raemis™ Roaming Gateway allows response teams to transition between private infrastructure and commercial MNO coverage

Multi-Operator Networks

The Raemis™ MOCN Gateway enables multiple PLMN IDs to be broadcast from one RAN so a single network can simultaneously host multiple public carriers and your own secure private core.

Tactical Networks

Deployable in minutes on portable hardware (vehicles, backpacks, drones). Operates completely autonomously even if central Wide Area Network (WAN) connections drop.

Mission Critical Architecture

S-MVNO Mission-Critical Traffic Prioritization

The Druid Raemis™ core uses 3GPP Quality of Service (QoS) standards, guaranteeing instant bandwidth for critical devices over public users.

Rapid Ad-Hoc Remote Coverage

Raemis™ allows you to deploy portable, ad-hoc core networks to enable local mission-critical communications where there is zero operator coverage.

Unified Centralised Management

The Raemis™ DNM provides one single dashboard to centrally configure, monitor and orchestrate all distributed, hybrid core networks.

Resilient local networks with central management

The Druid Raemis Distributed Network Manager (DNM) supports resilient local networks with centralised management and orchestration while ensuring uninterrupted local communications even if the connection to the central cloud is lost.

The Raemis Distributed Network Manager, or DNM, is a solution from Druid that allows organisations to manage and configure a private network spanning multiple locations, each with its own core. As each site operates its own core, it can function autonomously from the rest of the network in the event of any failure in the communications backhaul between sites. This resilience provided by this architecture ensures that users and devices at each site can always access
core network functionality.

Case Study

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) in Ireland, in partnership with mobile core software provider Druid Software, has established a national roaming arrangement across all three major commercial mobile network operators; Eir, Three Ireland and Vodafone.

Designed for mission-critical communications used by frontline public safety agencies including, this multi-operator framework ensures that first responders automatically connect to whichever participating mobile network offers coverage. Built on Druid Software’s Raemis™ core platform, the system bridges dedicated private cellular networks with national commercial cellular infrastructure, delivering seamless broadband connectivity for voice, video, mapping and operational data.

Why Druid Software’s Raemis Platform?

Secure MVNO Core (S-MVNO): A dedicated, security and privacy-focused MVNO core designed to safeguard users, communications and associated data. The solution enables clear and controlled roaming demarcation across multiple private-network and roaming-hub scenarios, supporting secure connectivity and operational control, as well as the consistent application of security and privacy requirements across different network environments.

Local Survivability: The Raemis Distributed Network Manager (DNM) architecture is designed to support resilient communications and continuity of critical services across regional, local, mobile and ad-hoc environments. It can be deployed across public-service locations, including hospitals and emergency-response facilities, as well as temporary or rapidly deployable sites such as Cell on Wheels (COWs). Centralised management and operational visibility enable network resources to be coordinated consistently across geographically distributed locations, supporting service continuity during connectivity disruptions and other operational contingencies.

Reliability: Raemis can be deployed in a fully redundant, high-availability architecture in order to meet the most strenuous uptime requirements for Mission Critical Comms Users.

3GPP-standardised Mission Critical Services (MCX): Raemis™ integrates into the public safety applications via standard open APIs (Rx/N5), supporting full Mission-Critical Services for MCPTT Voice, MCVideo and MCData.

Rogue Device Blocking (Onboard Equipment Identity Register): Ensures only authenticated, clear handsets and hardware can register on the network and subscriber management functionality controls different levels of access for each user to network resources, and the IMSIs that they use for authentication.

Traffic Isolation (Network Slicing): Logically segment voice, video, and telemetry traffic to guarantee QoS and access rights across agencies.

Legacy Interoperability: Secure gateway options featuring end-to-end encryption compatible with legacy TETRA and PMR radio networks.
