Deploy a private network for your highest-priority medical devices today.
Because healthcare is such a demanding environment, where every second counts and loss of connectivity can make the difference between death or life, medical organizations around the world are choosing our core network platform Raemis to build their wireless networks to support their digital transformation.
Connectivity for Modern Healthcare
Druid Software’s Raemis Platform provides the healthcare industry with a multi-generational core network platform that can implement private cellular networks for all their use cases. Raemis can simultaneously support both 4G and 5G networks, making it the ideal solution for customers migrating from 4G or earlier technologies to a modern 5G network.
A Raemis private cellular core network can be integrated with a 4G or 5G RAN provided by any leading vendor. The platform is a highly scalable software only solution and can be deployed in different configurations to meet customer requirements for performance and availability
Integrated Voice Communications Support
Raemis provides native support for VoLTE, VoNR and VoWiFi, ensuring that urgent voice calls can be completed regardless of the access network used by the connected devices. Raemis can be integrated with an external PBX for advanced telephony services such as multi-party calls and Hunt Groups.
Location Management
Raemis includes a built-in location management function, providing support for asset tracking and other location-specific applications.
Observability and Ease of Use
Raemis can be managed via an enterprise-level GUI that hides the complexity of a 3GPP network from non-Telecom expert staff. This allows typical IT staff employed by a healthcare provider to manage the platform. The GUI offers full visibility over all aspects of network performance, and full control over network configuration.
Scalable Capacity
Raemis can be used to provide dedicated private cellular core networks at a range of different site types, from large central hospitals to local healthcare clinics and nursing homes.
How Leading Health Systems Operationalize Private 5G
See the sessions from our Connected Care Summit which brought together which brought together regional health authorities, hospital IT directors and clinical leaders to discuss the learnings from their own private cellular network deployments (4G/5G) across major healthcare networks and European hospital groups.

The Raemis core network platform.
It harnesses 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi radios from any vendor to implement standalone cellular core network solutions. It also integrates with mobile network operators using standard interfaces giving access to their full range of the radio resources

Integration with existing apps
Raemis components are engineered from the ground up with a built-in API enabling seamless integration
with external systems. The Raemis platform exposes its internal state through an HTTP API based on
REST principles, making Druid solutions very easy to integrate with external medical applications. This
also allows a dynamic best-in-class user interface for Druid’s solutions.

Mission Critical Communications (MCx)
Raemis supports standard interfaces with external Mission Critical Communications applications, ensuring that network bandwidth is dedicated for critical communications traffic when handling emergency situations to enable MCPTT (Mission Critical Push-to-Talk), MCVideo (Mission Critical Video), and MCData (Mission Critical Data).

4G/5G Network Slicing
Adding 5G to private LTE networks is seamless. Raemis LTE core already slices 4G into dedicated networks for QoS and security. 5G RAN enhances this with improved separation, higher throughput, lower latency and an easy upgrade path from 4G, all via the same user-friendly interface. Network slicing keeps individual slices to separate virtual local area networks (VLANs) and user plane functions (UPFs), a key element for IEC62443 and NIS2 compliance.

5G Migration path
Raemis provides an easy migration path from LTE to 5G NSA and onwards from 5G NSA to 5G SA. The same Raemis platform can simultaneously support all these technologies while offering flexible deployment across on-premises servers and cloud environments.

Case Study:
The 5G Operating Room at AZ Groeninge
AZ Groeninge is one of Belgium’s leading teaching hospitals. In a project dubbed ‘H.E.A.L.T.H (HighSpeed Enabled Advanced Life-Saving 5G Technical Hospital)’, Druid deployed a Private 5G network at the hospital in association with our solution provider partner, Proximus, and RAN vendor Nokia.
The network is used for a number of different use-cases that are built around the high-performance, lowlatency characteristics of the network, including:
- Biosensor-based remote monitoring
- Robotic Surgery
- VR Training
As part of the project, the Raemis platform was integrated with advanced medical applications provided by ecosystem partners VIVES, MediAventures, Televic and One Bonsai.
Druid’s Raemis platform was chosen for this project due to its ability to support highly-reliable, lowlatency connectivity, and because it could be rapidly integrated via API with leading medical technology applications.
Whitepaper
Our “Private Networks In Healthcare” whitepaper explores the unique benefits that a private mobile network brings to a healthcare provider and offer examples of how it can be applied to different use cases that exploit the bandwidth, quality of service, and reliability that it offers.
Druid Demo Day | The Resilient Hospital
Our Connected Healthcare Druid Demo Day was a showcase, hosted by Druid Software, focusing on how private cellular networks (4G/5G) solve mission-critical connectivity challenges in modern healthcare environments.
Rather than focusing on high-level strategy or multi-year overhauls, the event demonstrated practical, live-use cases powered by Druid’s Raemis™ core platform, showing how hospitals can achieve zero-downtime reliability without interrupting clinical operations.
The full session includes Demos of Raemis for Nurse Call, Scaling and Call Quality and Network Resilience. It also includes
- a keynote on “The 5G Transformation Journey at AZ Groeninge” by AZ Groeninge and Proximus NXT
- Real-Time Tracking in Clinical Environments by Advanced Solutions Nederland BV
- Applications for Private 5G in Healthcare by CANCOM
- Radio Redundancy and SIM Swapping at Scale by SPIE Nederland
